About Us

Who We Are

A safe place to heal, grow and belong

At Silver Lining Care, we provide more than residential placements — we offer sanctuary. Our small, trauma-responsive homes in the heart of South Wales are designed to meet young people where they are, hold space for their healing, and walk with them toward brighter futures.

Why we started

Founded by experienced residential care professionals, Silver Lining Care was born from a shared commitment: to create genuine homes, not just placements. Our founders have worked at every level of frontline care and know that change happens when young people feel safe, valued, and truly seen.

Every child matters. Every voice is heard. Every relationship is real.

Therapeutic Safety

We provide structure, routines and boundaries that help young people feel secure.

Attachment-Focused

We prioritise consistent relationships with trusted adults who truly care.

Empowered Growth

We support self-esteem through success, skill-building and meaningful risk-taking.

Reflective Thinking

Through restorative conversations, young people learn to pause, reflect, and grow.

“Children who are loved and accepted learn to love and accept themselves.”

This belief shapes everything we do — from how we greet a young person on day one, to how we celebrate their final step towards independence.
