Social Worker 2025 Ty‑Alban

“I have been working with staff from Ty Alban for the past 6 months. During this time, I have established strong working relationships with the staff. They have provided reports in a timely manner and there is an excellent line of communication between both staff, management and myself.”

Social Worker 2025 Ty‑Alban

“They provide a strong sense of belonging to our children and give them ownership over their areas of the home. The staff work closely with family members and other professionals to ensure that they are aware of the current care and support plans of the children and also the relevant safety plans for the children. Ty Alban provides a safe, caring and welcoming home for the children to live in.”

Psychologist 2025 Silver Lining Care

“I would certainly recommend Silver Lining to others because of the standard of care they offer and patience they show with difficult children at the start of their stay. We know that these are expensive services to provide but they still provide good value compared to some other competitors.”

Psychologist 2025 Silver Lining Care

“These services have benefitted these young people especially because many come from difficult unsettled backgrounds with experience of abuse. The staff and management have the patience and the skills to deal with these problems and provide the children with the stability and attachments that these children have missed.”

Social Worker 2025 Silver Lining Care

“I have had a very good working relationship with Silver Lining. Communication is proactive and the placement are regularly in contact keeping me informed of the child’s progress. The manager and RI are very accessible, and I am always able to get in touch with the agency. Their documentation is up-to-date, and I am sent incidents etc in a timely fashion. The child I work with is very complex, and the agency are proactive in asking for support and take on board any advice given. We have a very collaborative working relationship around the care planning of the child.”

Social Worker 2025 Progress

“Due to the complexities of the child, she had previously been placed in many other placements that unfortunately had broken down. However, despite this in a relatively short period the child has made progress in a number of areas for example a reduction of incidents, more social opportunities being accessed, the child being able to face her fears such as the dentist etc. The child has provided positive feedback directly around her placement. The placement has implemented very consistent boundaries and routines, and this has allowed for her to make progress in the above areas.”

Social Worker 2025 MDT approach

“Silver Lining appear to be very collaborative in their approach and push from an MDT holistic approach. It is also very positive how accessible the RI and management generally are in my experience which again is refreshing and is not always common in independent providers.”

Social Worker 2025 Going above & beyond

“Prior to my young person being placed with Silver Lining, I didn’t really have any experience of what a residential home was or what it was all about however, I soon learnt. My young person was a very complex little girl who unfortunately, learnt that no one was trustworthy, and everyone would give up in the end however, this wasn’t the case with Jade, Helen and the rest of the staff. They got to know her, inside and out, they advocated for her when needed and went above and beyond for her. They allowed her choice and control when they could and showed her that even old people can be fun”

Social Worker 2025 Emotional regulation

“My young person went from having multiple incidents a day, to now being able to talk about how she feels and walk away from situations that upset her.”

Social Worker 2025 Communication

“Communication from SLC was second to none, I knew exactly what was going on at home for my YP each and every day and this info was also passed onto school (every morning before she got there) so teachers knew how best to support her.”

Staff 2025 Supportive team

“I feel like I am part of a really solid team which I am really happy with, I feel fully supported by my team leader and my manager, and I feel confident to approach any of the directors.”

Staff 2025 No day is the same

“The amount of support I’m given from all my team members, team leaders & managers I feel helps me a lot in my role. The children that I have built strong relationships with also. No day is the same.”

Staff 2025 Culture & change

“I love the culture. Having returned on a slightly negative note in August 2024 and coming back as of June 2025 it feels so refreshing to know that the company has recognised certain work cultures are unsustainable and have made real change. I love coming to work because I know that no matter who I contact as part of management or directors I will be supported.”

Staff 2025 Recognition

“I just want to give thanks for the recognition and appreciation I have already received in the short time since I have returned. It has really helped boost my confidence and I feel like a valued and trusted member of my team.”

CIW 2025 Inspection feedback

“Feedback gathered from children, care staff, individuals and agencies as part of the inspection were overwhelmingly positive in respect of the standards of care and support children receive. Care staff reported they enjoy their work and take pride in helping children thrive.”
